Mr Andrew Camilleri
Andrew Camilleri has been involved with FREED(UK) from the beginning. He has supported the charity financially and has been instrumental in the development of the 5 year plan to support Nandom Hospital. Andrew is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and will be able to operate on patients from the Nandom area in 2008 now that specialist equipment has been donated to the hospital.
Mrs
Christine de-Manuel
Christine de-Manuel has been involved with the Freed(UK) Schools project since 2006 and made her first visit to Ko A School in October 2007. She has been a Primary School teacher for over 20 years. Her focus is to help KO A school by improving its facilities and developing the quality of teaching and learning. She hopes to help FREED UK achieve this by supporting the training of teachers and by organising the provision of resources.
Mrs
Celia Chester
Celia Chester has been involved with FREED(UK) since 2006 and is a medical secretary at Northampton General Hospital. She was born and raised until the age of 6 in Accra, during the time that her father was instrumental in setting up the telephone network in Ghana in the 50's. Celia returned to the UK in 1959. She is sponsoring the training of a nurse at Nandom Hospital but has yet to visit.
Glenda
Singlehurst
Glenda Singlehurst is a Senior Staff Nurse at Northampton General Hospital. She joined FREED(UK) in 2007 and has been to Ghana twice (in 2007 and 2008) with the group. Working with two other members, Gai McKenzie and Lilian Crane, their project is concerned with the children at the orphanage and trying to raise enough funds to help provide milk and food.
